Chapter 10.1 : Digital Citizenship: More Than Just Being Online

Hello, blog! this is probably my second to the last blog update! will miss you guys so much! For this blog we will be tackling about digital citizenship and what it means to be one. I will discuss below what my understanding of DC is and will give 3 characteristics of it.

A digital citizen is someone who uses the internet and technology to engage with the world around them. They are active participants in the digital space, not just observers. As more aspects of daily life move online, the role of digital citizens becomes increasingly important in shaping how we interact and communicate in society.

Digital citizens have three main characteristics. First, they are digitally literate, meaning they know how to use digital tools, surf the web safely, and keep their personal information secure. Second, they follow good online manners by being polite, not bullying others, and respecting privacy. Third, they use technology to take part in community activities, such as voting online or joining discussions about social topics. These traits help them navigate the digital world responsibly.

In summary, being a digital citizen means having the right skills and behaviors to interact well online. As technology continues to grow, digital citizens will play a big role in making the internet a better place for everyone. Understanding and embracing these characteristics is essential for anyone who wants to be a positive part of the digital community. Hello everyone! fae is backa gain with another blog! today we will be talking about how I use social media as an individual.
